1.3 Upgrades

At Indeni we strive to keep improving, coming up with new functionality and/or security enhancements in each version (or minor version) we release – often relying on feedback from your peers (Insight / Community / Crowd) for our innovations.

To benefit from the latest features available to users, you are welcome to update your setup to the latest version of Indeni for free!


Upgrading via the Indeni GUI


To update your Indeni version through the Indeni User Interface, click on:

Settings > About > UPDATE VERSION

Follow the instructions to complete the upgrade.



Upgrading via the CLI


To perform an upgrade via the CLI, login to the server using SSH.

Run “imanage”, select option “2”, check the candidate release and confirm with “y”

Please note: If you have opted to use an SSL certificate, be aware that any upgrade overwrites the SSL certificate prior to 8.1. If you’re running 8.0 or earlier, you may want to obtain a new certificate.

In 8.2, we made enhancements to maintain references to your issued certificate parameters: keystore and passphrase. This enhancement applies to both online and offline upgrades.
