1.3 Upgrades

At Indeni we strive to keep improving, coming up with new functionality and/or security enhancements in each version (or minor version) we release – often relying on feedback from your peers (Insight / Community / Crowd) for our innovations.

To benefit from the latest features available to users, you are welcome to update your setup to the latest version of Indeni for free!

Upgrading via the Indeni GUI

To update your Indeni version through the Indeni User Interface, click on:

Settings > About > UPDATE VERSION

Follow the instructions to complete the upgrade.

Upgrading via a CLI

To perform an offline upgrade via CLI (when upgrading an offline installation from 6.X to 7.X), you will first have to upgrade to the latest dpkg  (available online in the Ubuntu repositories):

http://launchpadlibrarian.net/359699265/dpkg_1.17.5ubuntu5.8_amd64.deb

Once the package is downloaded, save it to your Indeni offline installation, and enter the following commands through your CLI:

cd /home/indeni/offline
sudo dpkg -i packages/ubuntu-deb/pool/main/d/dpkg/dpkg_1.17.5ubuntu5.8_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i 7.0.0.21/indeni-triton.deb
imanage

At the CLI prompt following imanage, select option 2 to perform the upgrade.

Please note: If you have opted to use an SSL certificate, be aware that any upgrade overwrites the SSL certificate, so you may want to obtain a new certificate.
